The Connected Car Conference 
 
The Connected car is becoming a major objective for both Automotive and the Technology Industries. In addition, and due to the establishment of wide IOT infrastructure, car computing activities are going beyond the scope of the single vehicle connectivity into areas such as Intelligent Transportation Systems and cross industries integration.
This developing industry covers many different areas and a wide range of solutions. It starts with Vehicle to Vehicle and Vehicle to infrastructure communications (V2V, V2I, V2X), gets into “In Vehicle infotainment”, application development, cloud services, big data solutions and recently the rise of autonomous driving.

The “Connected car” conference, organized by LOGTEL in partnership with SPOTAM, will allow its participants a deep view into this developing world.

X-Day 2013 when SW and HW merge

According to the participants, M2M 2013, (June 2), was really a great success, more than 130 C-Level decision makers, and 14 experts from France, US, EU, and other industry leaders. In parallel an exposition was held with some 15 companies, leading the M2M industry.

Dr. Chanan Gabay, European Commission Evaluator Expert, described how the EU M2M market is growing exponentially  and stated that in this challenging area “ the future is here “

Mr. Nair Santhoch general Manager, Wind River USA, in a brilliant lecture described how  The Internet of Things is finally moving from rhetoric to a really ,bringing a revolution in the so called Big Data, Telco Service Providers and the security issue.

Rami Friedlander, co-founded Sol Chip, described how to resolve the enormous demand for low-power wireless M2M applications s: Everlasting Chip Solar battery.

Other presentations covered important issues as Live video Transmission, Mobile Payment, Vehicle Telematics, etc.

One issue was commonly accepted by the participants and the experts: the M2M market is and will be a hug one both in term of devices and of applications.

The Congress was closed with a winner for the Raffle: a wonderful weekend for a2 persons to choice among a hundred of hotels.
