In fact, Logtel's majority of lecturers are full-time executives in many of the industry's most reputable companies. They serve as CTOs, VP Technology Strategies, and even CEOs. The encounter with a Logtel instructor goes way beyond the material and into day-to-day examples on how work and professional decisions are affected by the same technology that is being taught.

Mr. Louis Frydman

Has over 30 years experience in the world of networking and telecommunications. In the UK he worked with ICL in the development of realtime operating systems, and then with Olivetti designing and implementing telecommunications networks. Subsequently in Israel he was responsible for the building of the highly respected Bank Mizrahi Banking network. He now works as a consultant in design, troubleshooting and auditing commercial networks, and maintains close contacts with many of the leading high-tech concerns. Mr. Frydman lectures world wide on telecommunications technology. Mr. Frydman, hold aM Sc in Computer from London University.

Dr. Philippe Klein

Dr. Philippe Klein is lecturing at Logtel for the last 15 years and has more than 30 years of technical experience.
Dr Klein worked as the Chief Scientist and Technical Director in several high-tech networking companies and as consultant with several startup companies in Israel and the United States. He served in senior technical positions at Vocaltec and Digital Equipment Corporation Semiconductors where he developed high performance software and firmware for communication devices. Dr Klein co-authored seven patents for network devices, messaging and network communications. He was a member of the data acquisition team of a particle's physics experiment at the European Center for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva and holds a Doctorate in Nuclear Instrumentation from the Louis Pasteur University, France.

Mr. Ziv Serlin

For the last ten years, has been involved in the definition and architecture of high-end products in the networking, communications and computer industries. Has worked as HW manager, System technical leader, High Speed Board designer and VLSI designer. Has detailed knowledge in the areas of Xilinx FPGA, Signal Integrity and High Speed Board Design, including understanding the capabilities of a variety of tools such as: Hyperlynx, ISE, Model SIM, Matlab and others.

Mr. Raymond Ludwin

Has nearly 40 years experience in the world of IT, communications and systems – both in management and hands-on. In the UK he worked on the development of communication systems, databases, real time operating systems and compilers. He started his lecturing career, in 1970 forecasting the Internet to an International audience. In Israel he has been responsible for managing, implementing and delivering a large number of successful, large-scale projects, both locally and internationally, including Bank Discount's Telebank system with Internet, IVR, Security and Telecommunications. His experience includes hands-on and management, development in C++, Java, DOTNET, OO, UML and SOA. It also includes RF system development and real time hardware support using embedded and DSP development. He has set up QA and O&M groups. Mr. Raymond Ludwin holds an M.A. in Mathematics from Cambridge University, England.

Dr. Azriel Heuman

Dr. Azriel Heuman heads the M.Sc. program in Telecommunications Systems Engineering at the Jerusalem College of Technology (a.k.a. Machon Lev). Since coming to Israel in 1986 from the ISDN Lab at Bell Laboratories, Dr. Heuman held a number of key positions in Israel’s telecom industry. He was the technical expert in ECI’s Optical Marketing Department, and prior to ECI he was the lead System Engineer for Telrad Telecommunications’ Optical Transport Division. Dr. Heuman co-authored the Israel Standard Institute’s ISDN protocol standards. Throughout his career, his expertise was always focused on the evolution of the communications network and has been sharing his communications expertise with Israel’s high-tech industry for more than a decade as a Senior Lecturer at Logtel. Dr. Heuman has his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Brooklyn Polytechnic University.

Mr. Leon Bruckman

Is the VP System Engineering in IP Light. He has over 27 years of experience as an R&D manager and System Engineer in the telecommunications field. Prior to joining IP Light Mr. Bruckman was the CTO of Corrigent Systems, worked for Tadiran Telecommunications were his last position was of Director R&D for the Access division, and for HyNEX were he managed the R&D and the System Engineering groups. Mr. Bruckman is an expert in defining and developing Data and Voice transport systems and has vast experience in Hardware and Software development processes. Mr. Bruckman holds a BSc from the Technion Institute in Haifa and an MBA from the Bar-Ilan University in Ramat-Gan. He also holds over 20 patents in the telecom area and participated in various standard bodies.

Mr. Eli Greenberg

Has worked in Hi Tech companies for 25 years including Telrad (17 years), Gilat, and I.T.S. He has worked with a wide range of technologies including terrestrial communications, satellite communications, Wireless local loop, cellular communications and other technologies. Mr. Greenberg has developed and defends private switchboards, end user devices, testing and diagnostic devices, and has managerial experience as validation team head, project leader, and products line manager. His work has involved product support and customer training in Israel and overseas, field testing and diagnostics, government certification and product marketing. Mr. Greenberg holds a BSCTE engineering degree from Holon College and is a graduate of the Tel Aviv University Senior Business Administrator program.

Mr. Alex Umansky

Leading Israeli PCI Express experts, active participant and contributor to PCI-SIG. Mr. Umansky also serves as Logtel's senior lecturer and trainer on PCI Express and USB 3.0 protocols for leading companies in Israel. Now Alex served as Senior ASIC architect, developing leading-edge Multicore SoC for QoS purposes and 10G Switch Fabric. Previously served as Senior HW Architect at LucidLogix - multi-GPU SoC solution provider, based on enchanced PCI Express Switch. During his employment in IBM, he worked on the development of several PCIe IP cores and Infiniband products. Alex worked as a VLSI engineer in the networking department of Motorola Semiconductor Israel (Freescale now). Alex earned an B.A. degree in Physics from Technion.

Mr. Mati Nachshon

About 10 years of experience as a HW engineer, SW engineer, System engineer, team leader and project manager. Hardware-Software balance and integration.
