Course Overview:
This course introduces technical staff in manufacturers/vendors of cellular equipment to the main concepts, terminology, organization, standards, and access methods system of 3G Mobile. The course describe the existing 2.5G technologies and their limitations providing data services and then explores the CDMA technology as the base platform for the 3G technologies – the UMTS and CDMA2000. Based on the CDMA technology concepts understanding, the seminar presents the 3G UMTS and 3G CDMA2000 networks architecture, the network elements functions and connectivity from the technical point of view.
