This course introduces technical staff in manufacturers/vendors of cellular equipment to the main concepts, terminology, organization, standards, methods system of 3G Mobile.

The course explores the existing 2 and 2.5G technologies and their limitations providing data services and describes the CDMA technology as the base platform for the 3G technologies – the UMTS and CDMA2000. It also presents the 3G UMTS and 3G CDMA2000 networks architecture and the network elements functions and connectivity from the technical point of view.
